COMPUTERISED TOMOGRAPHY:Orbit hosts the first multislice 16 slice CT scanner manufactured by Toshiba, Japan installed in Yemmiagnur. This equipment is capable of advanced 3D and post processing applications with latest dose reduction technologies.

•NEURO and VASCULAR IMAGING Our advanced Computerized tomography technology helps in scanning even the uncooperative/ unstable patients rapidly. The CT scans are highly sensitive for blood, useful in differentiating different ages of intra/ extradural haematomas Bony details are well visualized hence helps in detecting fractures. Advanced 3D recon is very much useful in classifying and differentiating complex maxillo- facial and skull fractures. CT scans are excellent in imaging calcified tumors or detecting intra-tumoral bleed. Contrast studies are useful for studying different pathologies of “ring enhancing” lesions or evaluation of hydrocephalus. CT angiograms with CT perfusion studies are excellent choices in detecting early acute infarcts/ “penumbra” or salvageable brain tissue i.e., perfusion status of brain. CT angiographs are useful for evaluation of thromboembolism or aneurysms. Carotid angiography, renal angiography, aortograms and peripheral angiographs are few of vascular studies we do.We are committed to provide maximum benefit to our patients with minimum complications.

•CHEST and BODY IMAGING: Thin sections of 1-3mm, narrow beam collimation, advanced software algorithms are collectively useful for better SNR and anatomical delineation of pathological lesions and their disease extent.Follow up/ serial monitoring with low dose protocols for treatment response.To identify regions most suitable for CT guided biopsy gwhenconventional radiographs are normal.Superior imaging , staging and classification of Interstial lung diseases, bronchiectasis, small airway disease , emphysema , miliary tuberculosis, CCAM, solitary pulmonary nodule, pulmonary mass and abdominal pathologies like solid organs tumors, genitourinary lesions.

•HEAD AND NECK IMAGING Better cross section delineation of 5 infrahyoid anatomical spaces for better judgment of pathological lesions and their extent. To narrow down differentials and better description of anatomical spread of neck masses such as primary and secondary laryngoceles, paragangliomas. Schwanomma, squamous cell carcinoma, branchial cleft cyst. Better visualization of Retropharyngeal space, danger space and prevertebral space. To look for causative factors leading to classic retropharyngeal abscess in pediatric patients like upper respiratory tract infection – adenoiditis with spread to RP nodes and leading to abscess. To look for penetrating trauma like fish bones, foreign bodies etc. To diagnose, differentiate Posterior neck space lesions like cystic hygroma, lymphoma, lipoma. Brachial cleft cyst, schwannomas and perivertebral space lesions like sarcoma, benign fibrous tumor.

RADIOGRAPHY:We at orbit have the first high frequency fixed mount and mobile radiograph unit with DR integration, which has many undue advantages of better penetration, good special resolution for excellent radiographs without losing on the important clinical information. We have the first multipose 5 position buky table to take radiographs for different clinically warranted views of radiographs. With a dedicated Radiologist round the clock, we shall not be hesitant to correlate radiography findings with other imaging available at disposable like USG or CT scans for purpose of screening, at no additional cost, in order to give accurate diagnosis to our treating clinicians. If there is a need we might discuss with clinician and can do a spot intervention procedure like FNAC sampling for pathological correlation. All conventional barium studies like barium swallow, follow through, enema and contrast related studies like intravenous pyelogram, sonograms, fistulogram, hysterosalhingography (HSG), micturating and retrograde urethrograms are few of studies that we are doing.

ULTRASONOGRAPHY: Advanced Multi-Planar Ultrasound Machines of make Toshiba APLIO 300 and 4D mindray DC60 xinsight machines are installed for Superior imaging performance Uncompromised image quality for Best informed disease management decisions. Some of the tests we do our elastographic studies for surface soft tissue tumors in breast, thyroid. Sonomammogram, follicular studies, renal Doppler, carotid and vascular Doppler studies. Routine abdominal and obstetric imaging like TIFFA, anomaly scans, growth scans, NT and aneuploidy scans are done. We do a total of 80 to 100 ultrasound studies on daily basis. Ultrasound guided biopsies and FNAC are done on regular basis.
